Faith is afraid of doubt because it has repressed it. Whatsoever you have repressed you will remain afraid of it. It is always deep inside you waiting to take revenge, whenever the opportunity arises, it is going to explode within you with vengeance. Faith is sitting on an earthquake and every day doubt becomes stronger because every day you have to repress it. Every day it grows and when it gets an opportunity it throws away the faith.

Trust is not afraid of doubt, because it does not repress doubt. Trust knows how to use energy within doubt. Faith is false, a pseudo kind of religion. It creates hypocrites. Trust transform doubts. Unless trust goes through series of doubt it remains impotent. This is the way it gains integration. If no challenge, trust will remain weak. Treat doubt as a challenge. When you solve the challenge and grow through it, you will no longer be a split personality. You will be an undivided individual. This individuality is the soul we refer to in religion. The soul is arrived at through doubt, not through believing. Belief is just a mask behind which you are hiding your original face. Trust is transformation, making you illuminant.

Doubt is the trust of the way. Doubt is the question and trust is the answer. Without question, there is no answer. The question has created an occasion for an answer. This doubt should never be confused with guilt. Guilt is absolutely wrong, it has been used by priests and politicians. Guilt is a strategy to make slaves. Because of the guilt, they will not be integrated enough. Because of the guilt, they will be ready to do any nonsense ritual just to get rid of the guilt. Down the centuries, priests have made people guilty.

It's your guilt that makes you lean to somebody. Once you lean on somebody you remain childish and never grow. Your mind age remains that of a child. You never become independent. Once you are independent, you are not his target market. Once you are free you become a religious person. Use doubt to attain maturity. Doubt is like a unit test you add to your code to improve its quality, more is your coverage more confidence you build.

On the surface doubt and trust seem like enemies, but deep inside they are friends. Trust is the highest point of the ladder and doubt is the very first step. Use doubt but never lose sight of trust. Doubt comes with uneasiness and noise, but don't let it transform into guilt. Doubt means you are ambiguous and uncertain. This makes you move in multiple directions. Doubt continuously tells that this is not the home, go find the real home which is trust. So this way using doubt consciously and joyously, makes us free from guilty. This is the path to enlightenment.

When you destroy doubt, there will be energy released contained within it contributing to trust. The moment you start believing you are no longer a seeker. Once your worship is in belief, you stop seeking god. You remain irreligious when you don't seek god and just accepted. This acceptance is lame and acceptance should not come without struggle. A real religious person continuously seeks, doubt keeps driving you to search. Only remember there is no need to believe and disbelieve.
